Recommended Dramas (from my list):

Mars [Dark type of a drama, psychological thriller, lots of tears, hot Zai Zai and great acting]

It Started With A Kiss [Silliness is annoying at first but turned out to be adorable.]

They Kissed Again [Sequel to ISWAK. Lots of feels. They’ve matured and grown hotter. Whew! Joe Cheng! Brilliant support casts. Superb acting for Ariel Lin. She won Best Actress for this drama!]

MIT [School Mystery.Ridiculous plot but you wouldn’t mind after a couple of cases. Yan Yalun! *SQUEAL* GuiLun couple overload]

Black and White [Police story. Zai Zai is back, burning hotter and more complex acting output. Mark is the hottest hothead in the drama. Lots and lots of action.]

Autumn’s Concerto [Highly Recommended] [It can’t get any better than this drama. Plot is a bit rehashed but the acting is amazeballs. Have some tissue on hand. Ady is perfect for VanNess. Adorable casts, including Xiao Xiao Bin.]

In Time with You [Highly Recommended] [This is the bomb. Ariel Lin and Chen Bolin’s got the zing! Want something to torture your sloppy heart with? This is it! Pining for someone for so long? Make them watch this! Acting is flawless. Ariel Lin won best actress for this too. And oh! Shoegasm!]

Hana Yori Dango [Classic drama. You just gotta watch it. May border on ridiculous and cheesy but hey! Can’t go wrong with an iconic drama. Watch out for Matsumoto Jun and Inoue Mao. Are they or are they not? Oguri Shun, zing! zing!]

Bloody Monday [Like I wouldn’t recommend this because my OTP is here. Haruma and Takeru! Brilliant storytelling. Complex plot. My brain hurt after three episodes. Action packed!]

Ryomaden [Long but Highly Recommended] [For all you historical drama buffs out there, like me! Centered on real historical figures in the Japanese Bakamatsu period. Brilliant casting. Masaharu rules the roost! Also, watch out for Sato Takeru’s character as it is the beginning of him catching the eye of Rurouni Kenshin’s and Ryomaden director Otomo Keishi.]

Q10 [Yes, it’s Takeru again. Why is that? Hmmm… A robot-human love story. Oh, I can hear the collective groans. This one is a great surprise. Don’t expect a silly drama, though silliness and comedy are noted. They’re actually funny. A slice of life drama that will slice a piece indeed. Watch till the very end!]

Tumbling [Boys’ Rhythmic Gymnastic Club! Funny! Lots of love and friendship! Lots of men’s tights and muscles.Great insight into several character’s lives. Breaks male gender stereotype.]

Rich Man Poor Woman [Japanese workplace drama. Oguri Shun, hello! A real entertainment to watch. Watch out for the crazy, Steve Jobs-like atmosphere.]

Tonbi [Highly Recommended] [Yes, it’s Takeru. Shut up! Prepare to cry like you’ve never cried before. Every freaking episode will make you think and ache. Prepare to kiss your parents. Apologize to your parents! Apologize to your grandpa! Apologize to your siblings! Apologize to your neighbors! Apologize to your trees! Apologize to your floor! Heartwarming. And what a lesson we all should learn.]

Boku no Ita Jikan [Highly Recommended] [Slice of life drama. Pretty Haruma takes the floor as a handsome, newly graduated man looking to live a normal, happy life. This drama delivered on point on how ALS affects people’s lives. Prepare your tissues. Another good time to bawl your eyes out. And oh yeah! Haruma reunites with Mikako Tabe! Cuteness!]

Mary Stayed Out All Night [Romantic Comedy. I would’ve like to stress out more but really, I recommended this because of Jang Geun Suk. Pretty! Pretty!]

Princess Hours [Commoner marries a royalty. This first Korean drama I found myself obsessed with. There are a few wrongs with this drama but rights cancels them out. The writing is much better than most of its time. Casting is great. Chemistry is sizzling. But I fell in love the most with… the soundtrack. Listen close!]

Reply 1994 [Go Ara shines all throughout with her brilliant performance in this drama. Most people loved its predecessor drama more, Reply 1997, but this one got me the most. It’s just as nostalgic, maybe even more but the acting really did it. I found better actors with this one. They are on point! Era details are meticulously added. You’ll glue your eyes to the screen till the very last scene of the very last episode.
